Welcome to On The Hill, a local favourite in dining. Housed in a tastefully decorated 16th-century building, atmospheric of a traditional bistro. Our small team of dedicated chef’s headed by patron Rowan, pride themselves in serving the highest quality of freshly prepared food, using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible. Our strong, varied and unique menu is continually developed, and altered month by month. Our all-round dining experience is completed with service by our front of house team, which is headed by second patron, Imogen. Outstanding food, good service with a smile, and fine wine have made our unique establishment a local treasure which we are so proud of. We hope to see you at On the Hill soon.
We are a husband and wife team, working together to run our little bistro-style restaurant. We are dedicated to serving tasty food, and providing good service. We took over On the Hill in July 2008, now over a decade later we are delighted with how we have been able to grow. Our small team of chefs (with Rowan as head chef/patron) continue to develop new and exciting dishes, so when you return to us there's always something different to try.
